A reliable source in AT&T CSR confirmed.. exsisting 3G customers with at least 12 months into their 24 month contract will qualify for an upgrade discount to the new iPhone 3G(s) $199. 16GB and $299. 32GB...Rumors of AT&T not honoring the discount to existing 3g customers are FALSE...

Meh...still leaves those of dumb enough to buy 6 months ago in expensive limbo....grrrr.....

Now I'm willing to buy it. $200 is completely acceptable for a faster CPU and more ram plus a 3MP 30FPS camera and a magnetometer.

A friend bought it from a non AT&T and Non APPLE store i.e. BEST BUY and got the $15.00 a month warranty on it, they will replace the iphone...report it lost and when you file the warranty claim request the iphone s instead...might have to play a fee for the upgrade...
