This year it seems the rumors where way way off. The black bezel didn't even make it. Ten more months and we can let the speculation begin again.

I was hoping for the front camera placing. Imagine doing a video chat with a family member living across the other side of the world? Now that would be top notch.

iChat would have been very useful, all the soldiers and many others could've communicated via iChat. And the matte finish is a disappointment I would've gone an extra TEN miles just to get that phone

I don't know guys, but the iPhone 3G S announcement at the WWDC was pretty underwhelming to me as well as a lot of other people, to say the least. I was really looking forward to a new design. I think that would have been enough to make me jump ship on my 3G and climb on board but since it remains the same, I think I'll wait for that potential "revolutionary" revamp come next June/July when the iPhone 4G debuts!

I have to say that I've changed my stance on the 3GS. I figured it to be a waste of money because it was the same, but the new chip being faster, supporting OpenGL ES 2.0, double the ram, a more capable camera, and on top of that they boosted the battery life. Because of the lack of information on the CPU/RAM it seemed like the difference was really just the camera, which wouldn't be worth an upgrade, but seeing what came out in these past few days I could think about a $200 upgrade.

Apple has so many patents its not even funny any more and for what? They implement barely ANY of them into their devices.
